Laura's Bio

Laura earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s in Social Work from Kennesaw State University. During her graduate training, she interned with an art therapy practice where she deepened her understanding of creative expression as a powerful therapeutic tool. She now integrates expressive arts into her sessions along with a holistic, strengths-based approach that emphasizes the mind-body connection and whole-person wellness.

Clinically, Laura uses evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT and TF-CBT) and incorporates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to support clients in developing emotional regulation, mindfulness, and healthy coping strategies. She has experience working with a range of mental health challenges stemming from life and/or sport related stressors, including trauma, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and behavioral concerns.

When she’s not working with clients, Laura enjoys exploring Georgia’s state parks with her two dogs, painting, and spending quality time with family and friends. She is passionate about helping individuals feel seen, empowered, and grounded, and she’s excited to support her clients as they grow in life.

Specializing in Athletic Performance

Laura specializes in supporting young athletes ages 7+ by combining sport-psychology principles, emotional regulation skills, and evidence-based therapy to strengthen confidence, focus, and resilience both on and off the field.

Using CBT, TF-CBT, DBT-informed strategies, and expressive arts, she helps athletes manage performance pressure, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and self-esteem challenges while building healthy coping skills and mental-toughness tools.

She also partners with parents and caregivers, offering guidance and strategies to support athlete well-being, balanced expectations, and whole-child development.

Together, Laura’s athlete-centered approach helps young competitors grow emotionally, enhance performance, and develop lifelong resilience in sports and life.
