What is EMDR Therapy?

EMDR Therapy is a proven trauma-focused treatment that uses guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation to help the brain reprocess painful memories, reducing their emotional intensity so you can heal and move forward.

EMDR works by activating the brain’s natural healing process: while you briefly recall a distressing memory, the therapist guides left–right eye movements or tapping, which helps the brain reprocess the experience so it feels less intense and no longer triggers overwhelming reactions.
