ADHD
- over 15.5 million adults in the US are diagnosed with ADHD. They are among the most creative, enthusiastic, passionate, intuitive and outside the box problem solvers, yet they often struggle with daily functioning, relationships and mental health. This series addresses many of the common symptoms of ADHD and uses the MAP treatment protocol subliminally to help users improve the areas in which they struggle. Listen to the recordings as often as you like. You can play the audio in the background while you are doing mindless tasks or relaxing. Fall asleep listening and let your subconscious mind work for you while you sleep. Like anything, it’s not magic. If you want to improve in an area, you still need to make an effort. WhisperMind won’t do the job for you, or cure your ADHD, but it can make the effort required a little easier and more productive.

UNDERSTANDING THE PROCESS
Frequently Asked Questions
What are Subliminals?
The word subliminal literally means below (sub) the line (liminal). The conscious and subconscious memory are often illustrated as an iceberg, with the visible part being conscious awareness and the part beneath the water being subconscious. When a message is communicated subliminally, it is delivered below the line of conscious awareness which means your subconscious can perceive it, but your conscious mind cannot.
Why Use Subliminals?
The human brain can rapidly process a vast amount of information, estimated to be around 11 million bits per second. However, the conscious mind can process a much smaller amount of data, typically 40 to 50 bits per second. This means that the subconscious can process at a rate over 200,000 times faster than the conscious mind. When using subliminal recordings, the information bypasses the conscious mind, allowing you to assimilate information without your conscious mind slowing you down.
Is this therapy?
No, WhisperMind is not therapy. And if you are currently in therapy, this is not a substitute for it. However, it can be used in conjunction with it. Imagine being able to supplement your therapy with a powerful tool that you can use outside of sessions to fast track your healing and growth process. Why wait a week or more between sessions to continue making progress when you can continue the work on your own at a safe, steady pace?
I am a therapist and have a firm belief in the power of individual therapy. While subliminals aren’t intended to take the place of therapy, they can enhance it and have the potential to exponentially improve your results. Imagine your subconscious being able to process the amount of information you exchange in a one hour session in only a few short minutes. And not only that, with WhisperMind Subliminals, you can listen to the recordings multiple times, at your convenience, allowing you to process all the nuances of the issue you are focusing on until it feels completely neutralized.
What is WhisperMind?
WhisperMind Subliminals use The MAP Method™ to remove the barriers to change that exist in your subconscious. The barriers exist because of subconscious programming, present as a result of prior experiences, negative beliefs, emotional distress, childhood trauma, or even childhood misunderstandings about life.
By nature, subliminal messages reach the subconscious because they are below (sub) the line (liminal) of conscious awareness. If that’s the case, why does it sometimes take those messages a long time to sink in?
The problem is that those messages have to replace other messages that conflict with the new ideas and behaviors that we want to adopt. Look at your subconscious as a garden that is already populated with plants and weeds that have a deep, well established root system that has been in place for years, often decades. Every master gardener knows that it is necessary to prepare the soil before planting new seedlings, so the new plants can take root and grow. WhisperMind Subliminals remove the old roots and rocks that prevent growth before planting new beliefs.
These barriers, buried deep beneath the surface are often why traditional affirmations don’t work, whether they are presented consciously or subliminally. When a new belief, message or direction is presented to the unconscious mind, it continues running the default programs which may contradict that belief, preventing the new information from having a clear, powerful impact. If you really want to move forward with your goals, clearing out old programming is well worth the investment of time and effort! Otherwise, you may end up repeating the same affirmation for months without having any real sense that your beliefs or behaviors are changing. Your default programming stays in place, running in the background while you consciously make attempts to change. It’s like driving with one foot on the gas while the other foot is firmly planted on the brake.
What is MAP?
The MAP Method™, which stands for Make Anything Possible is a coaching method created by Colette Streicher, a licensed psychotherapist and success coach. She developed MAP after years of seeking a more effective way to help her clients overcome deep-seated issues. She combined her experience with insights from various therapeutic modalities and the work of Dr. Garry Flint.
MAP is a gentle, non-invasive, and rapid technique aimed at resolving trauma and negative patterns by retraining the brain. It works by accessing and neutralizing negative memories, thoughts, emotions, and beliefs stored in the conscious and unconscious mind, even those from childhood. It leverages the brain's natural ability to rewire itself, using what is known in neuroscience as the window of reconsolidation.
The process involves guiding the brain to identify and neutralize negative memories and their associated emotions. Clients typically close their eyes, focus on an issue, and observe the changes as the practitioner gives instructions to the brain.
The MAP experience is gentle and relaxing. Clients remain in a relaxed, mindful state throughout the treatment. Unlike many methods which address traumatic memories, with MAP there's no need to remember or share traumatic details if the client doesn't wish to. Changes and healing can sometimes occur within minutes. With the practitioner’s guidance, the client's brain does the work to produce change. Once negative memories are neutralized, the effects are permanent. If distress or symptoms reappear, it is likely because there are additional associated memories that need to be addressed.
Not only does MAP address issues from the past, it can also help you reach the goals you set for yourself. Once the obstacles have been removed that stand between you and your goal, the path is clear and you are able to reach the goal with less struggle. MAP isn’t magic. It won’t do the work for you. It won’t study for your exam, or go to the gym for you, but it can remove a lot of the internal emotional distress you feel, allowing you to experience more clarity and making it easier for you to put in the effort and move forward.
MAP is effective in dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, anger, shame, grief, guilt, cravings, health challenges, fears, phobias, self-confidence, self-worth, and other issues that we experience as a result of our sometimes maladaptive behavioral patterns we have developed throughout life.
What is the Superconscious?
To understand the Superconscious, let’s first begin with the SUBconscious. Your Subconscious is a vast database of stored information, experiences, neural connections and learned behaviors. It plays a crucial role in shaping attitudes and actions as it processes information and generates automated responses. Literally meaning below consciousness, it operates largely outside of conscious awareness and influences automatic functions like breathing and heart rate, as well as creating patterns of thought and behavior.
The subconscious is much like the hardware in a computer that runs the programs or apps. The subconscious is your operating system. It doesn’t have a mind of its own. It executes the commands and runs programs that are installed. The vast majority of those programs are installed during our formative years of childhood. As we grow older and more conscious, we make decisions about what we want for ourselves and create new programs and directives. Often the conscious decisions we make, or new programs we want to install, are incompatible with the old programs that are already running. What we aren’t consciously aware of is the ERROR message when we’re setting goals and making decisions. Because those programs are running unconsciously, we are not aware of the incompatibility of the programs and we think that if we decide we want to do something differently, we can change course and just do it. What we have failed to consider is that before we can install and run the new program, conflicting programs must be disabled or deleted. Because we don’t see the error message, we try harder, but continue to struggle as one program says go, while another other program says stop. We experience the conflict, but don’t understand why it is happening. Maybe we’re not strong enough. Maybe we haven’t found the right method or plan. Or a thousand other explanations… MAYBE the problem is the programs that are in conflict with one another.
Enter the Superconscious! Dut duh duh duhhhh. (trumpet emoji) The Superconscious is the librarian of the subconscious. It knows where all the memories and programs are stored, when they were installed and all of the other memories or files that are connected to them; and can locate and access them in a nano-second. The MAP Method™ teaches the Superconscious how to treat and neutralize memories. Once the Superconscious learns the treatment process, on command, it can neutralize emotions, allowing disempowering beliefs and programs to be modified or replaced. Voila! A librarian with superpowers!
The reason memories are so important in this process is because as long as a memory holds an emotional charge, you can’t alter the beliefs, thoughts or behaviors that are associated with those memories. You can try, but you’re fighting an uphill battle that you’ll always have to consciously fight. Those unresolved, emotional memories serve as anchors to lock programs in place.
Imagine being able to rid yourself of lifelong disempowering beliefs, to essentially uninstall those apps and install new apps that are in alignment with who you want to become and how you want to live your life. The Superconscious can do this!
The Powerful Combination
Imagine combining this powerful MAP Method with the speed of subliminal processing. A 15 minute WhisperMind Subliminal is the equivalent of several hours of conscious MAP sessions, all at your fingertips to be used at your convenience and at your own pace.
How to Use Subliminals
When you first begin using the WhisperMind Subliminals, it is recommended that you find a quiet place to listen, free of distractions. Headphones are not required, but the subliminals are recorded bilaterally, so you will get the benefit of the relaxing, soothing effect of bilateral sound. Don’t worry, if you don’t have your headphones, the MAP process will still be completely effective.
First, focus your attention on the desired outcome of the session. In some of the audios, you will hear an audible instruction to your conscious mind, guiding you to focus your attention on the goal. In other sessions, it will be entirely up to you to define the goal of the session. In either case, imagine that your attention on a subject is like entering your destination into your GPS. Once you have entered the coordinates, the directions from your current location to that destination are clear. The more clearly you define where you want to go, the more powerful your sessions will be. Even if your goal is somewhat vague, you can arrive at the destination, but you may spend more time sight-seeing than if your goal is clear.
Once you set your intention and goal, you don’t have to work to make anything change. Relax, breathe and listen to the audible sounds, while noticing any thoughts, emotions, memories or body sensations that emerge.
The recordings are ideal to listen to as you fall asleep at night. Though your conscious mind is asleep, your subconscious mind can still hear the instructions being given to your Superconscious. Or, you can turn them on while you’re doing routine tasks that you typically do on autopilot.
How will I know if it works for me?
When you do the Intro Session, you’ll identify a memory or event that feels upsetting to you. On a scale of 0-10, with 0 being not upsetting at all and 10 being the most upsetting or painful you can imagine, choose something that is a 9 or less. It can be an event that is relatively intense, but for the very first session, it’s better to choose a memory or subject that is not the absolute worst thing you can imagine. You’ll begin by focusing your attention on the subject, then listening passively to the ocean waves while your Superconscious is working to neutralize the emotion related to that event. By the end of the session, you’ll notice that it feels less upsetting. The goal is not to feel a little less upset, but for it to feel completely neutral when you think about it. That is when the processing around that event is complete - a ZERO. Yes, it is possible. In less than the length of time you could tell the story of what happened and how you felt, it can be emotionally neutralized and feels like something that happened a long time ago that you have no reaction to whatsoever.
How often should I listen to WhisperMind audios?
For the best results, it is recommended that you listen to the recordings once or twice a day. You’ll find specific recommendations with specific recordings. Because the healing process is very gentle, the subliminals clear away old patterns, habits, beliefs and emotions gradually, a little at a time. Therefore, lifelong patterns may require some time for transformation to occur.
The good news is that transformational change is possible in ways that you might have never imagined, in a gentle, safe and easy manner. Assess your progress as you go. Once you’re noticing some progress, which might be observed as outward change or inward peace related to the topic, feel free to move to another topic. You can always go back to a subject you’ve covered before at a later time.
You might need to cycle through the entire process several times. Consider it like leveling up, going from level 1 to level 2 on each subject, then moving up to level 3 the next time through. Please be patient with yourself and know that repetition and effort will clear the obstacles that stand between you and your desired goals.
