Sessions
Meet Kevin! Kevin Sauter brings over 15 years of experience helping students discover their strengths, build resilience, and reach their potential. With a Master’s in Education and more than a decade at The Lovett Academy—where he served as a teacher, Dean, and Academic Advisor—Kevin has guided hundreds of students through the challenges of adolescence, from academic stress to social pressure to balancing sports, extra-curricular activities, social stressors and school life.
Before his time at Lovett, Kevin worked in community mental-health settings supporting children, parents, and caregivers through IFI programs. That early work helped shape his compassionate, whole-person approach to student development—one that recognizes the emotional, academic, and lifestyle factors that all impact performance and well-being.
At East Cobb Counseling, Kevin helps students ages 8-23 improve executive functioning, motivation, organization, and self-confidence through practical coaching and structured accountability. He works closely with parents, teachers, and coaches to create realistic action plans that help teens build balance, responsibility, and independence.
Kevin has a particular passion for working with student-athletes, musicians, and artists helping them channel discipline and focus on and off the field, stage or studio – while managing the pressures of performance, academics, and identity. His sessions often blend mindset training, communication skills, and goal setting—empowering young people to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and confidence.
Whether supporting a struggling middle-schooler, mentoring a teen athlete, or helping families strengthen communication and consistency at home, Kevin’s mission is clear: to help students find their direction, rediscover joy in learning, and thrive — in the classroom, on the field, and in life.
